Twice-Baked Ham and Gruyère Croissants
Gruyère and our Bourbon Blended Mustard are a match made in heaven. The nutty cheese pairs perfectly with the sweet molasses flavor of bourbon and the unmistakable tang of good mustard, all on a fluffy croissant. Consider this masterpiece your grown-up ham and cheese sandwich.

Ingredients
1 Tbsp unsalted butter, for greasing panFor the bourbon mustard sauce:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup Plochman’s Bourbon Mustard
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- 6 croissants
- 1 lb deli sliced ham
- 10 oz Gruyère, grated and divided (1 ¼ cup)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF and grease a 9x13” pan with butter. Set aside.
- To make the bourbon mustard sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard, and garlic; mix with a spatula until well combined. Set the mustard sauce aside.
- To build the sandwiches: Lay the croissants on a cutting board and, using a serrated knife, slice them in half to separate the tops and bottoms.
- Spread the mustard sauce on the cut sides of the croissants. Place the bottom half of the croissants in the prepared pan. Layer 2 slices of ham on each croissant. Sprinkle 1 cup of the Gruyère over all the ham-covered croissants.
- Add the tops of the croissants, then use the back of a spatula to press and flatten them down. Sprinkle the tops with the remaining ¼ cup of cheese.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted. Cover with aluminum foil if the croissants start to brown too fast.
