Ingredients
CARAMELIZED ONIONS:
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
CHILI DOG MUSTARD SPREAD:
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup Plochman’s Chili Dog Mustard
BURGER PATTIES:
¼ cup Plochman’s Chili Dog Mustard
1 egg, beaten
1 lb. ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste
FOR SERVING:
4 brioche buns, toasted
1 cup baby arugula leaves
4 slices tomato
4 large eggs, fried
Directions
Caramelized Onions: heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook onions for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and softened. Add sugar, salt and pepper and cook until sugar is dissolved.
Burger Patties: combine mustard, egg and beef in a medium bowl and mix with hands until well combined. Shape mixture into 4 patties and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook on stovetop or grill until cooked as desired.
Chili Dog Mustard Spread: combine mustard and mayonnaise and mix well.
Burger Assembly: spread sauce on each side of the bun. Add arugula, tomato, cooked patties, caramelized onions and top with a fried egg
