Herb-Crusted Grilled Salmon

Ready to wow in minutes! An easy marinade made with zesty lime juice, fresh herbs, and Plochman’s Stone Ground Mustard gives this salmon tons of bright flavor. The best part: the fish cooks up melt-in-your-mouth tender in less than 15 minutes on your grill or grill pan.

Active Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 25 Minutes

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz) king salmon fillets, skin-on
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • 3 Tbsp Plochman’s Stone Ground Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 3 Tbsp finely chopped dill
  • 3 Tbsp finely chopped parsley
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper

Directions

  1. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets on a plate, skin side down, and season with salt.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the mustard, olive oil, garlic, lime zest and juice, dill, parsley, turmeric, and cayenne pepper. Brush ¾ of the marinade evenly over the salmon fillets.
  3. Spray the grill pan with cooking spray, or if using a grill, wipe the grill grates with an oiled paper towel. Place the fillets skin side up on the grill. Cook for 6 minutes or until grill marks appear and the marinade is golden brown.
  4. Using a metal spatula, carefully flip the salmon over. Continue cooking until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, 6 to 8 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter.
  5. Brush the salmon with the remaining marinade and serve warm.
Kick it up a notch: Use cilantro instead of dill and ground chipotle pepper seasoning instead of cayenne for a Mexican-inspired twist!
